Cape Town City FC Accompanies Gift of the Givers in Khayelitsha

The entire Cape Town City FC, with their star players, will accompany Gift of the Givers at Thembelihle High School, Town 2, Khayelitsha, today, 6 November, at 1.30pm, in the distribution of stationery packs, hand sanitisers and bottled water to 730 learners. The purpose of the visit is to motivate and inspire learners to deal with life's challenges as many of these players have grown up in similar circumstances from townships around the country. Cape Town City have recently won the MTN Cup.

Many of the learners at this school reside in the area where the fire occurred. Educational development in the face of poverty, food insecurity, overcrowding, absence of formal housing, lack of water, electricity and sanitation are challenges facing millions of learners in our country. The visit of star players to share their story in such difficult times is priceless.

Gift of the Givers has intervened in the fires at Khayelitsha, Kosovo, Vrygrond, Fish Hoek and the Garden Route since 20 October having delivered R4 million in aid thus far.
