Distribution at Shaft 5 - 08 December 2014

The Gift of the Givers Gauteng team pitched at the mines with 1000 Food Parcels. Children enthusiastically formed a line to receive their Sweet Packs while their parents collected Food Parcels in an adjacent line. SABC TV and Power FM conducted interviews with both miners and GOTG team members. Members of COSATU and miners solidarity were present and helped with facilitating the distribution after having approached Gift of the Givers for assistance.

Struggling mine workers in Aurora who have been without a salary since 2009 were very grateful to GOTG for making another contribution of Food Parcels to them. They are living with the hope that their plight will be over soon so their lives can go back to normal and their dignity restored.
