Yemen Free Clothing

Anas al Hamati, Gift of the Givers Project Manager in Yemen organises an "exhibition" of clothing at the Al Hodidah Centre in Yemen to be handed out FREE to orphans and indescribably poor people who don't even own a toothbrush.  This centre is supported by Gift of the Givers. Recipients "select" clothes in advance of the Islamic festival of Eid taking place this week.  This novel idea was innovated by Gawa Sayed, Project Manager at our Cape Town office.  The success in Cape Town last year was beyond belief.  Twenty one containers of aid have already been dispatched to Yemen where 15 million Yemenis live below the bread line.  Yemen is host to 1.5 million Somali refugees and 700 Syrian refugee families.  Anas has also been actively engaged in trying to locate a South African couple, Pierre and Yolande Korkie, taken hostage about 2 months ago in the province of Taiz.

Total Project Value: R919 040.00
