Ahlan Wa Sahlan in Khayelitsha

Gift of the Givers is proud to continue its partnership with Voice of the Cape for the Mass Iftar project the Ahlan Wa Sahlan. We have been working in Khayelitsha for many years and have previously responded to many fires, hosted community outreach initiatives as well as built 103 houses for fire victims.

600 community members received food parcels, hot meals, cool drinks, bread, savouries and Nestle Cerevita, among other goods at Masjid Allahu Akbar.

Gift of the Givers thanks Ottomans for providing soup, Pick n Pay for providing bread, Peninsula Beverages for providing cool drinks and Community Outreach for providing Quran’s.

Total Project Value: R82 275.35.

Iftar Distribution in Hodaidah and Sana'a, Yemen
350 daily Iftar in Hodaidah and 100 distributed in Sanaa. Each meal consists of a half portion of chicken with rice, dates, banana, bread and chicken soup.
Sana'a, the capital of Yemen, is facing a huge health crisis due to the spread of cholera. Gift of the Givers has increased water distributions which supplies 100's of families.

The distribution of Iftaar packs commenced in Malawi just before the onset of Ramadaan and completed within a period of ten days.
