Princess Jay Home Based Care

The Princess Jay Home-Based Care Organisation in Okiep received 2 wheelchairs and additional aid. The  organisation meets the needs of cancer patients by providing nutritional supplementation and basic hygiene items.

Audiology Testing in Khayelitsha

Gift of the Givers in partnership with Rotary International hosted a National Health Day at the Mathew Goniwe Memorial High School in Khayelitsha. Gift of the Givers provided free Audiology Testing to all community members present along with a 650 food parcels.

Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital

The medical and nursing staff at the hospital treat between 25 000 and 30 000 patients annually, while over 3 000 are admitted to the hospitals four in-patient wards each year. More than 10 000 births occur annually at RMMCH, creating a very busy neonatal unit with a six-bed NICU, a premature unit, and a Kangaroo Mother Care program.

Audiology Testing in Chatsworth

Gift of the Givers took to Chatsworth with the Health Day audiology testing. The community also received free testing of eyes, TB, HIV, blood pressure and sugar diabetes.

Helen Joseph Hospital

Gift of the Givers was approached by the Crosby Women’s Forum to assist with this project and we agreed to establish a halaal kitchen at the Helen Joseph hospital. For the Women's Forum, this was something they had been planning for over a decade but became a reality seemingly overnight.
