This campaign aims to create an awareness on issues regarding abuse and domestic violence against women and children. Women from the Bethlehem Ephratah church in Pietermaritzburg and Umkomaas participated in the campaign and received 35 Personal Hygiene Packs. The event was held at the Albert Falls conference hall.

20 deserving students of Mpophomeni High School have exceeded the expectations of their parents and teachers and have achieved extremely good grades. The students received 20 Personal Hygiene Packs and Medals. They choose to rise above poverty by acquiring good grades and giving off their best in school in the hope of receiving bursaries for tertiary education.

During 2012 4 of the Bachelor of Education students of Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Faculty of Education and Social Sciences, Wellington Campus, were involved in a community outreach project, where learner support was provided to children of 3 previously disadvantaged rural schools in the Wellington district. The 3 schools involved were Alfons Primary School, Wagenmakervallei
GOTG provides 84 Personal Hygiene Packs to the learners of The Grove Intermediate School. Absolute happiness filled the hearts of the children as they received their gifts, most of them come from disadvantaged homes with unemployed parents.

GOTG partners with a group of women in Kwangcelosi, Hillcrest who through their Sibisizwe Project have sustained themselves as well as their community. Apart from sewing and beadwork the group also focuses on gardening and chicken farming.

Unemployment and poverty is something constantly faced by the Sweetwaters community in Pietermaritzburg. As a result even the basic hygiene products cannot be purchased. Ephesus Church in Northdale, Pietermaritzburg hosted a special day of appreciation for women. For the love and care they show in serving the members of the church and for the way in which they make their many visitors feel welcome. Being the month of spring, the women were beautifully dressed and were so excited and had least expected gifts from GOTG.

The Umngungundlovu Volleyball Association hosted a Volleyball Tournament Protea Sports Ground in Northdale, Pietermaritzburg. The aim of the event was to promote sport within the communities. The teams were made up of 40 participating schools and 30 social teams making up 130 contestants. Sybel, the organizer from Christian Family Church in Empangeni, hosted a lunch to honour 250 strong and beautiful women who have been through a challenging life of abuse. The women have experienced one form, if not all forms of abuse, be it physical, verbal, emotional or sexual abuse. As each women shared their stories, hope was restored. They felt empowered and looked toward entrepreneurship
Sekunajalo Project is a group of women who try their utmost to help improve the lives of their community members, after all 'charity begins at home'. The group run garden and sewing projects and use their profits to sustain their families.
