Distribution in Awaran 05 October 2013

Awaran, a remote area severely affected by the earthquake, where people are living in tents next to their 'used to be' houses. What's left is a roofless structure surrounded by rubble.

After hours of driving from Karachi to the Awaran villages, excitement grew as the GOTG team passed by the picturesque mountain and enchanted valleys. A rural beauty! The team eventually arrived at the village and was welcomed by the Chief and villagers. Although desperation was high, the recipients of the 100 Food Parcels and Blankets co-operated with our team and in a dignified and orderly manner received the aid.

Each food parcel consisted of:

  • Lentils
  • Sugar
  • Flour
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Tea
  • Milk
