Winter Warmth 2013

In response to numerous queries regarding a winter warmth project for 2013 the answer is yes we are implementing it as usual.  The first distribution took place in Pretoria with Esquire Technologies and the Caring Women's Forum on 1 May 2013 following a fun walk as a fund-raising event on the same day.

The next launch took place on 8 May 2013 in Fordsburg with 3000 people receiving blankets, linen, new clothes, diapers and a hot meal.  Our partners are The Star, Caring Women's Forum, Timberland and the SA Post Office.

Other distributions took place in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Western Cape but because of the relatively warm winter temperatures in certain provinces we have staggered distributions to respond fully when the real cold sets in.

New blankets, new clothes and shoes, in fact any warm item or non-perishable food product could be delivered to any of our offices and warehouses nationwide or at the premises of the partner companies in the relevant province.  Please note that warm items are distributed while hot meals are served.

Cash contributions to purchase a high quality warm blanket at R60 each could be made into Gift of the Givers, Standard Bank, Pietermaritzburg, Account No. 052137228, Branch Code 057525. Please fax or email deposit slip to receive your acknowledgement.  Those requiring tax benefit PBO certificates please contact laila@giftofthegivers.org All enquiries on 0800 786 7770800 786 777 toll-free.
