R2 Million Aid for Tornado Victims

Following the devastating Tornado in Duduza, Nigel, Gift of the Givers is responding with a R2 million aid package. Immediate response demands the provision of temporary shelter for 150 affected families. Erection of UN standard tents and wendy houses commences today on the properties of the 150 home owners who suffered the greatest losses. Building material will be provided at a later stage to reconstruct permanent homes.

Concurrently 20 Gift of the Givers staff on site will continue with the distribution of hot nutritious meals, bottled water, new clothing, toys, hygiene packs and blankets.

Funeral expenses for the child who passed on tragically will also be covered by us.
