03/08/2012 - Odirile Mentally and Physically Disabled Children's Centre

The sound of children cheering with joy as they receive their parcels was absolutely delightful for the GOTG team. The Odirile Home in Themba is a safe haven for 100 children, many of whom have been abandoned, left in bins to die whilst others live with sickness and are bed ridden. These children are also either blind, mentally or physically challenged

SAPS, General M. V. Phiyega, the first woman to be a National Commissioner in South Africa joined us on our distribution and reminded the children that they are not forgotten.  GOTG then went further in to the community and distributed Blankets and Personal Hygiene Packs to the locals as well. It was a happy day indeed for the Temba community.
