Gift of the Givers ensures that the fundamental healthcare needs of the poor are met by sponsoring the provision of medication and wheelchairs to patients who cannot afford it in Yemen. Patients also receive food to ensure that medication is not taken on an empty stomach.
A key focus area is Al Khuzna Village. The village is home to an excluded group of people living with blindness, caused by a genetic disease. The village is remote and its people are dependent on the benevolence of the outside world as their limitations prevent them from accessing necessary facilities, including all-essential healthcare.
Our team facilitates regular medical check-ups here by transporting patients to Alhodaidah, where they receive conventional medical care. For patients suffering from more serious illnesses, we facilitate transport and care in Sana’a, where superior medical services are available.
