The conflict in the Middle East results in an influx of orphans who not only are left without family and a home, but are carrying the pain and psychological trauma of losing loved ones to war.
Gift of the Givers adopted the Bayt Kareem Orphanage located in the Turkish city of Gaziantep. The orphanage cares for and sponsors dozens of orphaned Syrian children who have been affected by the ongoing conflict in Syria. The building is located in the Turkish city of Gaziantep and provides children with shelter, education, health, and clothing, as well as psychological services and counselling.
Additionally, Gift of the Givers provides psychological counselling to women affected by the war through a group of psychologists and counsellors.
