During Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Gift of the Givers observes Qurbani which involves the sacrificial meat distribution to poor families. Given the unstable economic state of Zimbabwe and subsequent high poverty rate, many families receive meat only during this month. The portions are fairly large and substantially contributes to the need for protein in their diets over a few months.

In 2021, Gift of the Givers slaughtered 1020 goats and 15 cows. The team further distributed 85 tons of food parcels to a total of 4055 families across the provinces.
