Empowering Communities

“TOGETHER, WE EXPLORE PROJECTS THAT RISE TO SOCIAL CHALLENGES AND UPLIFT GENERATIONS TO COME."

Social Upliftment may best be described as the process of enabling individuals to grow and develop through the expansion of their own capabilities. In a developing world characterised by poor-quality infrastructure, under-resourced facilities and severely disadvantaged communities, never has the need for effective socio-economic solutions been more strongly felt.

We are dedicated to contributing towards the transformation of the environment, making available interventions for, especially the vulnerable, to impact on poverty, thus empowering communities and creating an improved quality of life.

Watch: #GiftOfTheGivers #Malawi 🇲🇼 spearheads a 'School Wash Programme' which includes the construction of toilets and change rooms in needy schools that have no sanitation facilities or access to water. 🏫

At #Ntonda Primary, one of the recipient schools of the programme, the team handed over a solar powered water system, the newly constructed sanitation facilities and also painted two classrooms as part of the 'Happy Classrooms' concept, which is designed to enhance learning.

It was a special day for 4 frail individuals from #PietPlesis in #northwest after they each received a brand new wheelchair, ♿ as part of our #wheelchairdrive programme.

Pictured are Gaonosi Gaoromelwe (111 years old), Ms Kedilatile Seraoelo, Mr Tumelo Petersen and Ouma Nyana, all beaming with joy as they sit on their new wheelchairs. 🎁

Gift of the Givers

Together with a local church in #middelburg, our team facilitated a Community Clean-up Project where we educated the locals on the importance of keeping their environment clean and green.

The community service was done voluntarily by members of the community and as a token of appreciation, we provided them with food parcels. We have since then decided to commence with the monthly clean up to ensure a healthy environment, with plans to expand the cleaning initiatives in other areas.

Gift of the Givers

After receiving an urgent request from Little Sunshine Daycare Creche in #Ennerdale, 📍 for cleaning detergents, 🧼 (as learners return to school), our #lenasia team responded with a box of cleaning supplies and hand sanitiser. 🧼

In addition, we provided the little ones with a sweet pack 🍬 and a toy. 🧸

The children 🧒 were so thrilled to receive gifts that they even sang songs of joy to the team.

Mr Willem Natola, a resident of #NieuBethesda, is an epileptic and diabetes patient who had his leg amputated. He can’t walk on crutches as his blood sugar levels frequently drop, which results in him falling and injuring himself.

He also gets epileptic attacks whenever his blood sugar levels drop, and he must then be taken to the clinic each time to get a reading.

Upon hearing his story, our team immediately provided him with a brand new wheelchair, ♿ a food parcel, 🥫 and his own Accu Check blood sugar 🩸 testing machine, which will ensure that he can monitor his blood sugar levels and prevent attacks.
