One of the most common causes of death amongst IDPs in Yemen is cholera, a disease resulting from the consumption of contaminated water.
In an effort to avert avoidable death among IDPs, Gift of the Givers regularly provides cholera medication to those living in camps. As a preventative measure and working in partnership with other international NGOs, we deliver multiple Point-of-Use products to families in areas inaccessible to our water tankers. Contaminated water is sterilised and purified, making it completely safe and potable.
