With an under-resourced public healthcare sector and private medical services too expensive, chronic treatment is not reaching the poor, resulting in patients, in many instances, succumbing to their illnesses through an inability to function normally, disability or even death.
The Gift of the Givers healthcare project in Palestine serves the poor in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, with special priority being afforded to those worst affected by the humanitarian crisis. The organisation's health service offerings are co-ordinated and provided through local health organisations and the Department of Health. Gift of the Givers also has in place an agreement with the private sector for subsidised treatments.
Gift of the Givers response includes a poor patient fund and involvement in Khuzaa Clinic.
For many injured and vulnerable people in Gaza, reaching a hospital or medical facility remains extremely difficult. Damaged infrastructure, restricted movement, limited transport and an overstretched health system can make even basic medical care difficult to access. Our Mobile Medical Outreach Teams are helping bridge this gap by bringing essential healthcare directly to communities, including medical check-ups, wound care and bandage replacement for patients who may struggle to reach functioning health facilities.Among those supported is Saba, a young girl who sustained critical injuries during the war. Receiving care closer to where she is staying has played an important role in her recovery and daily life.Stories like Saba’s reflect the wider impact of this project, which is helping injured patients across Gaza receive continued medical attention when travelling to a hospital may not be possible.🟢 How you can help Palestine: Bank: Standard Bank Branch: Pietermaritzburg Account Number: 052278611 Branch Code: 057525 Reference: "Palestine"🟢 Backabuddy https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/bringing-hope-to-gaza-amid-turmoil🟢 GlobalGiving https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/palestine-emergency-relief🌐 Online donation: https://giftofthegivers.org/online-payment/When making a donation, use the country's name as a reference.#GiftoftheGivers #SA #SouthAfrica #MiddleEast #MakeADifference #ForTheGreaterGood #Palestine #Healthcare #Gaza #MedicalSupport #HumanitarianAid

Our team in Cairo prepared a truckload of rodent control supplies and household hygiene products for delivery to Gaza via the Rafah border crossing. The supplies were carefully packed to help families improve their hygiene and living conditions amid the severe environmental health challenges facing communities across Gaza. The accumulation of waste in Gaza's residential areas is attracting rodents and pests, contaminating food and living spaces, and increasing the risk of illness, particularly among children. This intervention aims to provide practical support to families facing increasingly difficult sanitation and public health conditions.🟢 How you can help Palestine: Bank: Standard Bank Branch: Pietermaritzburg Account Number: 052278611 Branch Code: 057525 Reference: "Palestine"🟢 Backabuddy https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/bringing-hope-to-gaza-amid-turmoil🟢 GlobalGiving https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/palestine-emergency-relief🌐 Online donation: https://giftofthegivers.org/online-payment/When making a donation, use the country's name as a reference.#GiftoftheGivers #SA #SouthAfrica #MiddleEast #MakeADifference #ForTheGreaterGood #Egypt #Arish #Palestine #Healthcare #EnvironmentalHealth #RodentControl #Gaza #HygeinKits #HealthcareSupport #HumanitarianAid
In Gaza, many healthcare graduates have completed their studies but face financial barriers that prevent them from obtaining their degree certificates and moving forward professionally.Through our Education Support Programme, Gift of the Givers is helping healthcare graduates access their certificates so they can take the next step into professional practice.By supporting qualified doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to enter the workforce, this initiative also contributes to strengthening healthcare services and supporting a health system already under immense pressure. For these graduates, receiving a certificate is more than an academic milestone — it is an opportunity to serve their communities and help strengthen Gaza’s healthcare capacity.🟢 How you can help Palestine: Bank: Standard Bank Branch: Pietermaritzburg Account Number: 052278611 Branch Code: 057525 Reference: "Palestine"🟢 Backabuddy https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/bringing-hope-to-gaza-amid-turmoil🟢 GlobalGiving https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/palestine-emergency-relief🌐 Online donation: https://giftofthegivers.org/online-payment/When making a donation, use the country's name as a reference.#GiftoftheGivers #SA #SouthAfrica #MiddleEast #MakeADifference #ForTheGreaterGood #Palestine #Gaza #HealthcareSupport #MedicalEducation #HumanitarianAid #GazaHealthcare #HealthcareWorkers #EducationSupport #RebuildingHealthcare
