Following three decades of conflict, persistent drought and famine, some seven million people - or 50% of Somalia's population - is dependent on humanitarian assistance.

Sadly, too, the past two years alone has witnessed the demise of three quarters of the country’s livestock.

Gift of the Givers commenced operations in Somalia in 2004, in response to the devastation wreaked by a Tsunami. It has continued providing humanitarian aid within the country ever since.

We have successfully conducted our monthly food distribution for orphan families in Luglow. In addition to essential food items, hygiene soap was also provided.
