Water scarcity in South Africa became a reality for our generation in the recent cycle of drought that commenced in 2017. Farmers, schools, hospitals, and communities in many parts of the country find themselves in desperate need of this scarce yet essential resource. The reality is that millions of South Africans do not have access to running water.
Gift of the Givers has in place a number of water projects, which remain ongoing and includes the delivery of clean water for drinking and hygiene via our three water tankers. Our water tankers deliver 550 000 litres of water per week in the Eastern Cape.
