13/02/2015 - Careline Partners UKZN
Friday 13 February 2015 marked a partnership between Gift of the Givers Careline and UKZN Religion and Gender studies department. Students enrolled for the masters programme visited the counselling services and engaged staff and volunteer counsellors with the aim of identifying focus areas for their research and dissertations which broadly cover gender, religion and sexual reproductive health aspects. Programme coordinator, Fatima Seedat, alluded that this was the first time that academics and the real world will work together to demonstrate the importance and value of both. GOTG Careline director, Zohra Sooliman, emphasized the relevance of such a study to society if any meaningful change is to take place.
