Quality education is achieved by a variety of elements including infrastructure, personnel, learning material and overall environment. The poor are worst affected by the poor state of public schools in South Africa and for a number of reasons slip through the cracks and fail to complete their education. The cycle of poverty perpetuates, therefore, itself.
Gift of the Givers is committed to improving education in South Africa through its bursaries, school infrastructure interventions. The learners are hungry for an education which means that half the battles is won. Through the generosity of our donors, we have made a meaningful and positive impact on learner throughout South Africa by reaching schools in remote communities.
🚀 Breaking The Silence: Northern Lights School Joins JumpStartWelcome to the JumpStart family, Northern Lights School! 🌟Our newest JumpStart Club in Gqeberha joined the programme in late August - and immediately showed the power of young people using their voices to create positive change. The club hosted “Breaking the Silence - Creating Confidence”, a women’s wellness session for all 169 learners, covering menstrual health, feminine hygiene, dignity and the correct use and disposal of sanitary products.Every learner - boys and girls - participated, helping break stigma and reinforce a simple message: periods are a normal part of life. 👏🏽The learners then went a step further, collecting hygiene essentials and creating 30 dignity packs for girls in need at their school. This is what JumpStart ZA, powered by Gift of the Givers, is about - empowering young people to educate, support and uplift one another.Welcome to the family, Northern Lights School. 🚀 We believe in you! 💚To find out more about Jumpstart, visit www.jumpstartza.com#GiftoftheGivers #MakeADifference #ForTheGreaterGood #Education #JumpStartZA #SouthAfrica
