Gift of the Givers has in place an education project and our educational support spans six countries, including Yemen.
Here, the primary focus is on students with partial or complete blindness. Through this initiative we provide education via Braille, supplying learning materials and sponsoring educators.
Marginalised and already on the back-foot, some 150 families suffering from genetic blindness live in a village known as Al Khuzna. The educational response by Gift of the Givers includes assisting those based in Al Khuzna with classes.
As part of our commitment to alleviating hunger and supporting education, our team in Yemen has distributed 424 food parcels and Eid clothing to teachers.
